The food waste from the Montpelier Public Schools, including the MHS kitchen and cafeteria, are brought to the Vermont Compost Company located right on the outskirts of town. Under the watchful eye of Karl Hammer and his staff, this material is broken down into the soil we use in the greenhouse…therefore “closing the loop”.
